Guitar Tuner
For this project, I aimed to make a guitar tuner that would hear the pitch of a note and identify whether it was too sharp, too flat, or in tune. I also wanted to add the functionality of being able to cycle through the notes with a buzzer playing the corresponding frequencies.

Low-fidelity design/sketch
The original sketch of how I intended the final design of the guitar tuner to appear. It has a section with the buzzer to play the standard tuning of a guitar, as well as a microphone with LEDs to react to input from user.

02
Music not on LED grid
Testing some code and controlling the output of the LED grid for this project.

03
Prototype with microphone
Testing the individual LEDs for mic sensitivity. Also used this setup to attempt to analyse the frequency; however, that did not end up working the way I intended.

04
Arduino output - inconsistent
The screenshot shows the list of frequencies (Hz) picked up by the microphone when playing a single note. It should give a reading of around 82Hz every time (low E). I believe this limitation occurred due to the type of microphone I used.

Prototype with buzzer
Prototype with the Arduino board to test the functionality of the passive buzzer to play the notes of a guitar with standard tuning.

Final prototype - lower level of electronics
The final prototype for the guitar tuner. This is a photo of the lower level of electronics and wires, as well as the battery powering the device.

07
Final prototype - upper level of electronics
The final prototype for the guitar tuner. This is a photo of the main elements of the device, that have been separated from the internal wiring.

08
Final prototype - with cover
The final prototype for the guitar tuner. This is a photo of the tuner as it is to be used, with a decorative cover. Only the LED grid and functional button are shown for ease of use.
